We Quilted The Rainy Day Blues Away

It was a meeting to love....the Piney Hills Quilt Guild in Ruston, where we make a lot of quilts and show and tell even more.

Like Mary's umbrella. She painstakingly took each rib out so she could hoop the sections to embroidery a grandchild's name or memento.

and here is Kay juggling her Christmas stockings:  community service at work.

and more Christmas stockings ready to make a child happy next year.  Carolyn makes Christmas stockings  year round so there will be plenty on hand to be filled with holiday love.

and Gene makes pillowcases for herself and friends -

oh, and how about these totes....It's a case of one is never enough!

and hot pads made for a special occasion to give away as door prizes....I'd love to be walking through that door.

Oh, we do make quilts too.  Here's Kay with  a child's quilt -

and the blue starry one for her daughter.

Gladys has been busy making kids' quilts:

and Kay whipped this one up using an Eleanor Burns method of sewing strips together in a tube - A Quilt In A Day

Shirley is taking great advantage of the free block of the month on Craftsy .   It's a sampler block sew along with Laura Nownes.
Let's join in!

  1. Nice job, ladies! Love those stockings! Is there a pattern for them somewhere -- been putting off making some for us!
